Who We Are
CloutShot is operated by MPEVS LLC ("CloutShot," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through cloutshot.com and the CloutShot newsletter, and how we use it.
Information We Collect
- When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, and optionally the topic category you selected and where you signed up from (source).
- When you visit the site: standard web request data collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare), such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and performance purposes.
- When you contact us: anything you send us directly (email, form submissions, replies to the newsletter).
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you the CloutShot newsletter and related content you've signed up for.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site and newsletter.
- To understand aggregate readership trends (which articles or categories perform well) — we do not sell this data.
AI Processing
CloutShot's content pipeline uses third-party AI models (currently Google's Gemini) to help draft articles and generate imagery from source material and editorial input. Your subscriber email address is not sent to these AI systems — they are used solely in content production, not on your personal data.
How We Store Your Information
Subscriber emails and site content are stored securely in Cloudflare's D1 database and R2 object storage. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect this data, though no Internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with essential service providers that power CloutShot (such as Cloudflare for hosting/storage and Google for email delivery/AI processing), each bound by their respective privacy and data-handling terms, and only as needed to operate the service.
Your Choices
Unsubscribe: Every CloutShot newsletter email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from future sends immediately.
Access or Deletion: To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to request complete deletion, email mason@cloutshot.com.
Cookies & Analytics
CloutShot uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the site, but only after you accept the cookie consent banner displayed on your first visit. If you choose to decline, no analytics cookies are set and no tracking scripts are loaded.
We also use local browser storage (localStorage), which is completely distinct from tracking cookies, solely to remember your on-site preferences — such as whether you have dismissed the newsletter modal, saved articles to your bookmarks, or stored your cookie banner preference.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
